Loss mitigation consultation: A Nationwide Private Client Risk Solutions Consultant will inspect your home for wildfire susceptibility and provide you with detailed recommendations for prevention.

We believe that mitigation matters and taking action to prepare your home to better withstand a wildfire is critical. Although there is no guarantee the property will be spared wildfire damage, the steps recommended can assist in lowering your exposure to a wildfire loss.

Wildfire monitoring and notification: WDS actively monitors all wildfires across the western U.S. and provides up-to-the-minute information to Nationwide Private Client. In the event a wildfire is threatening your property, you may be contacted by WDS or Nationwide Private Client to arrange for presuppression action.

Response services: When a WDS duty officer determines a wildfire threat to your home, a fire crew may be dispatched to your property to implement presuppression measures. These measures could include sprinkler setup, fuel break preparation and the application of fire-blocking gel or retardant.²
